The incident came to light after the passengers informed the onboard-TTE when the train departed from Simhachalam station. The baby was rushed to the Divisional Railway Hospital in Visakhapatnam by Railway Protection Force personnel.
The baby’s health is satisfactory and he has been shifted to KGH for further treatment and care, officials said. The baby will be handed over to the child care authorities. Divisional Railway Manager-Voltaire Anup Satpathy has promised to bear the entire cost of raising the child. The search began for the real mother of the baby.
