Blue Star Reports 25% Rise in Quarterly Profit on Strong AC Demand
Blue Star, India’s leading air-conditioning and appliance manufacturer, reported a 25% increase in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. Net profit rose to ₹124 crore from ₹99 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations grew nearly 21% to ₹2,931 crore, driven by strong demand for air conditioners during an extended summer season.
The company’s electro-mechanical projects and commercial air-conditioning systems segment recorded a 16.3% increase in revenue to ₹1,936 crore. Meanwhile, sales in its unitary products business, which includes room air conditioners and commercial refrigeration products, climbed 29.4%. Chairman and Managing Director Vir S Advani said a healthy pipeline of data-centre projects is expected to support significant order inflows in the coming months.
Despite strong sales, rising material costs and limited scope to pass on higher expenses continued to pressure profitability. Total expenses increased 22.4% to ₹2,813 crore. Advani also highlighted weak farm incomes linked to the monsoon and elevated interest rates as potential risks to demand. The company plans calibrated price increases and cost optimisation measures to improve margins while expecting revenue growth momentum to continue in the second half of the financial year.
