Coca-Cola Plans India Bottling Unit IPO in 2027
Coca-Cola has announced plans to explore an initial public offering (IPO) for Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings, the parent company of its largest bottling business in India. The beverage giant is targeting a listing on the BSE and National Stock Exchange in 2027 while also considering the sale of a portion of its stake in the company.
The company currently owns 60% of Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings after selling a 40% stake to the Jubilant Bhartia Group in 2025. Established in 1997, the bottling unit operates 14 plants across 10 Indian states and handles the packaging, distribution, and sale of popular brands such as Coca-Cola, Thums Up, Sprite, and Fanta.
India remains a key growth market for Coca-Cola, with the company reporting record sales of ₹50 billion in FY2024-25. The planned IPO comes amid growing competition from Reliance-backed Campa Cola, while reports suggest the bottling business could be valued at around $10 billion. Coca-Cola has appointed Rothschild as its advisor for the proposed listing.
