18-Month-Old Child Attacked By Pack Of Stray Dogs In Kerala
On Friday, an 18-month-old child received major injuries all over his body after a pack of stray dogs attacked him in front of his house in Kerala’s Kollam district.
According to family relatives, the youngster, a native of nearby Mayyanadu, is being treated at the district hospital.
According to them, the incident occurred as the youngster was playing in front of the house and his grandma had just stepped inside after giving him dinner. Hearing the child’s sobs, the mom ran to the front yard of the house and was astonished to see roughly 25 stray dogs mauling him.
“The incident happened when I just went inside the house for a while to take something. There were at least 25 dogs around the child. I somehow chased them away with a wooden plank and rescued him,” she said.The boy was brought to the hospital with the assistance of neighbours, and he is still being treated, she added. Several areas in Kerala have been plagued by stray dogs for some time, and according to statistics, over 20 people have died from rabies this year alone.
