Paratta – 5 (Shredded into small piece)

Egg – 3

Onion – 2 (finely chopped)

Tomato – 2 (finely chopped)

Green Chilies- 3 (chopped)

Ginger – ½ teaspoon (crushed)

Garlic – ½ teaspoon (crushed)

Turmeric Powder – ¼ teaspoon

Chili Powder – 1 teaspoon

Coriander Powder – 1 teaspoon

Garam Masala Powder – ¼ teaspoon

Oil – 3 tablespoon

Curry Leaves – 2 sprigs

Lemon Juice – 1 teaspoon

Salt – To Taste

Coriander Leaves – 3 tablespoon

Tomato Sauce – 1 tablespoon

Fennel Powder – ¼ teaspoon

Cooked chicken – (Boneless and shredded into small pieces)

Chicken Gravy – 1 Cup

Pepper powder – ½ teaspoon



Heat oil in a thick bottom pan. Add curry leaves and chopped onions. Sauté it well. Then add crushed garlic, ginger and chopped green chilies. Sauté it for a few minutes.

Now add garam masala powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and fennel powder. Combine all well. Then add chopped tomatoes and required amount of salt into the pan. Covered the pan for 2 minutes.

After 2 minutes open it and move this mixture to the side of the pan, crack the eggs and pour the eggs in the centre of the pan. Sprinkle some salt and pepper powder on it. Scramble gently and cook it.

Then combine it with onion –tomato mixture. Add shredded cooked chicken and tomato sauce, combine well.

Now add shredded parattas and chicken gravy into it. Combine well and cook for a few minutes. Finally add chopped coriander leaves, pepper powder and sprinkle some lemon juice into it. Mix well. Covered the pan with lid and cook it for a few minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat.

Tasty kothu paratta is ready. Serve it hot with yogurt Raita.
