JD (S) Karnataka state Prez resigns

H Vishwanath, the state president of the JD (S) in the Indian state of Karnataka, has resigned from his post, levelling some serious allegation against the JD (S)’s coalition partner in the state Congress.

He alleged that it was the non corporation of some senior leaders in the Congress with the JD (S) led to the humiliating defeat of JD (S) veteran H D Deve Gowda in the recent general election.

When he has been asked whether he would join the BJP, he has responded by asking ‘who will join a party who miserably failed in the local election’.

Mr Vishwanath was a former Congress leader. He joined the JD (S) in the year 2017. It was to earn a cordial relation with the Congress, who accidentally became a partner of the JD (S) after the latest assembly election as the BJP unexpectedly emerged as the single largest party in the state (a few votes shorter than what it is needed to claim the seat of power of the state), that the man was inducted as the JD (S) state president.

In his last press conference as the JD (S) president, he has lashed out as the Congress leaders, especially Congress veteran and former Chief Minister Siddaramaih.
