“Apni Beti Ko Sambhal Pehle:” Farah Khan’s ROFL Reply To Chunky Panday’s “Overacting” Comment

On Tuesday, Ananya Panday posted a hilarious video to her Instagram account, which also features choreographer-director Farah Khan. “Ananya, Ananya, you have won the National Award for Khaali Peeli,” Farah Khan exclaims as she begins to introduce herself in the video.

When Ananya becomes overly excited, Farah Khan says, “I am joking” (just like Chunky Panday’s character Aakhri Pasta in the Housefull movies). The video was captioned by Ananya: “Overacting ke 50 rupay ke. Farah Khan is always the most entertaining.” Of course, all in good fun.

Farah Khan and Chunky Panday’s ROFL Instagram exchange is, however, the highlight of the post. “Farah, you should get the award for overacting in this video,” Ananya’s father Chunky Panday said. “Apni beti ko sambhal pehle,” Farah Khan replied.

Ananya Panday, the daughter of Bollywood actors Chunky and Bhavana Pandey, made her Bollywood debut in 2019 with Dharma Productions’ Student Of The Year 2, in which Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria co-starred. Ananya also starred alongside Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar in Pati Patni Aur Woh. She also starred alongside Ishaan Khatter in the film Khaali Peeli.

Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Dhairya Karwa co-starred with her in Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan. Farah Khan, who began her career as a choreographer in the Indian film industry, made her directorial debut with the 2004 film Main Hoon Na. Om Shanti Om, Tees Maar Khan, and Happy New Year are among her directorial credits. Mrs Serial Killer, starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Manoj Bajpayee, was also backed by her. Shirish Kunder, Farah’s husband, directed the film.
