Banana fritters/ Pazham pori

 

INGREDIENTS

Ripe Plantain – 3

Flour – 1 cup (maida)

Rice flour – 2 tablespoon

Cumin seed – 1 pinch

Sugar – As needed

Turmeric powder – 1 pinch

Water – As needed

Salt – to taste

Oil – for frying

 

PREPARATION

Take a bowl and prepared a batter combining maida flour, rice flour, sugar, cumin seeds, turmeric powder and salt. Mix it well by adding water to make a thick batter. Keep it aside.

Peel the plantains and slit it lengthwise.

Take a deep pan and pour the required amount of oil for frying. After heat the oil, dip the banana slices in the prepared batter evenly.

Cook the both sides until it turns golden brown. Drain excess oil by using a paper tissue.

Serve it hot with a cup of hot tea.
