Zepto Files for $837 Million IPO Amid Rapid Growth Push

Indian quick-commerce firm Zepto is set to raise up to $837 million through its upcoming initial public offering (IPO), according to updated draft documents filed on Monday. The company plans to use the proceeds to expand its network of dark stores, strengthen technology and cloud infrastructure, and pursue strategic acquisitions as competition intensifies in India’s fast-growing instant delivery market.

The filing revealed that Zepto’s revenue more than doubled to ₹22,624 crore in the financial year ended March 2026. However, the company’s losses widened to ₹5,905 crore from ₹4,700 crore a year earlier, driven by rising operational and expansion-related expenses. Existing investors, including Nexus Ventures and Contrary ZEP Holdings, will also sell a portion of their shares in the offering.

Zepto further disclosed that India’s Enforcement Directorate had sought information from founders Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra in April regarding foreign investments, shareholding structure, and tax filings. The company stated that all requested information was provided and no further communication has been received from the agency. The IPO is expected to be one of India’s most closely watched listings this year.
