Vivo V80 Lite Teasers Hint at Imminent India Launch
The Vivo V80 Lite 5G is attracting attention in India ahead of an official launch, with teasers and certification listings offering early clues about the upcoming smartphone. Teasers have reportedly appeared in Pakistan, while an offline store in Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh, has also shared promotional material. The images suggest the phone will feature a curved display, although Vivo has yet to reveal its complete design or specifications.
The smartphone has appeared on several certification and database platforms, including Malaysia’s SIRIM, Europe’s EEC, Geekbench, TUV, Bluetooth SIG and Google Play Supported Devices List. These listings suggest a wider international launch could be approaching. There is also speculation that the V80 Lite could be a rebranded version of the Vivo S2 for certain markets, a strategy commonly used by smartphone brands to adapt existing devices for different regions.
If the V80 Lite is based on the Vivo S2, it could feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a large 7,050mAh battery and a slim 7.39mm body. Camera specifications are expected to include a 50MP Sony primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP selfie camera, along with Vivo’s Aura Light. Other reported features include stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP68/IP69 protection and Android 16-based OriginOS 6. However, chipset and charging details remain uncertain, and Vivo has not yet confirmed the price or launch date.
