Virus attack in Kozhikode
Nilay virus (NiV) infection confirmed in Kozhikode by Pune Virology Institute by the samples send from Kozhikode.According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), NiV infection in humans varies from clinical presentations, from asymptomatic infection to the acute respiratory syndrome and fatal encephalitis. It is diagnosed that the death happens as the brain infection severed. Death toll rises to 9. IMA forms an expert committee to study this condition and strengthen the prevention.
