Veteran politician ‘The Iron Lady’ K R Gowri Amma passed away at the age of 102
On Monday bygone era Communist pioneer and previous Kerala serve, KR Gowri Amma, died in Thiruvananthapuram .
The 102-year-old pioneer was going through treatment for age-related disease at a private clinic in Thiruvananthapuram.
Born on July 14, 1919 at Cherthala in Alappuzha region, Gowri Amma was an incomparable personality in Kerala politics.
She was known for her red hot speaker and removed from the CPI (M) in 1994 for for alleged anti-party activities, glided Janataipatya Samrakshana Samiti and aligned with Congress-drove United Democratic Front (UDF). In 2016 she cut off her binds with the UDF and got back to the Left Democratic Front.
