Vedanta Aluminium launches ‘Panchhi -Sapno Ka Udaan’ project in Sundargarh, Odisha

Vedanta Aluminium, India’s leading aluminium producer, has initiated the ‘Panchhi -Sapno Ka Udaan’ program aimed at both recruiting and empowering economically disadvantaged girls in the coal mining regions of Odisha’s Sundargarh district.

Sixteen local girls from villages like Girisima, Jamkani, Jharapalam, and Mendra within the Jamkani mining project area actively participated in this event. Sundargarh Sub-Collector Dasharathi Saraboo distributed identity cards to the participants.

The initiative seeks to empower young and educated girls by offering job opportunities suited to their qualifications. Additionally, it aims to support displaced girls from mining areas in completing their higher education. Vedanta expressed its commitment to realizing the dreams of young women in mining communities through the ‘Panchhi-Sapno Ka Udaan’ initiative in the Jamkani coal mining project areas.
