University of Glasgow Announces ₹18 Lakh Scholarship for Indian Master’s Students
The University of Glasgow has announced a £15,000 (around ₹18.2 lakh) scholarship for Indian students planning to pursue one-year, full-time master’s programmes in the 2026–27 academic year. The initiative aims to strengthen academic collaboration with India while reducing the financial burden of studying at a globally ranked UK university. The scholarship is open to Indian nationals classified as international fee payers.
The funding covers a wide range of postgraduate taught courses, including banking, finance, economics, analytics, human resource management, and other eligible disciplines. Selection will be based on academic merit and overall applicant profile, with candidates required to hold an offer letter and demonstrate academic performance equivalent to a UK First Class Honours degree, typically 70% or above in Indian grading systems.
Applications will be considered in two rounds, with deadlines on February 23 and May 18, 2026. Founded in 1451 and ranked 79th globally in the QS World University Rankings 2026, the University of Glasgow offers over 300 degree programmes. Additional benefits, such as free bus travel across Scotland for students under 22, further help reduce living costs, making the opportunity more accessible for Indian students.
