Pegasus Global Warns Against Fake ‘Miss South India’ Pageant Misusing Trademark Title
Pegasus Global Pvt. Ltd., the official organizer of the trademark-registered beauty pageant Miss South India, has issued a public warning following reports of an unauthorized event conducted under the same title by Significant Fashion Company.
Pegasus clarified that Miss South India is a legally registered property exclusively owned by Pegasus Global Pvt. Ltd. and was founded by Dr. Ajit Ravi in 2002. In its statement, Pegasus Global condemned the unauthorized use of its registered brand name, calling it misleading to participants and the public. The company emphasized:
“Miss South India is a trademark-registered title owned exclusively by Pegasus Global Pvt. Ltd. Any event conducted using this name is fraudulent and deceptive. We strongly urge aspiring participants and the public to verify the authenticity of any pageant using our brand name.”
Pegasus Global further advised young women and aspiring contestants to exercise caution and confirm the legitimacy of organizers before enrolling in any pageant.
Reaffirming its longstanding commitment to credibility, transparency, and women empowerment, Pegasus Global continues to successfully host its official international and national titles — including Miss Queen of India, Miss Asia, Miss Glam World, and Miss Asia Global. The company also stated that it is evaluating appropriate legal action against the misuse of its registered title and brand identity.
