Two days to go for Miss South India 2017, Presented by Manappuram Finance Limited

Two more days to go for the much awaited pageant Miss South India 2017. The 15^th edition of Manappuram Miss South India beauty pageant organised by Ajit Ravi, the Chairman, Pegasus Event Production Company, is scheduled to take place on January 27 at the Camelot convention centre, Alleppey.

The event, in which nearly eighteen participants hailing from five major South Indian states is expected to contest for becoming the South Indian beauty queen, is supported by the Manappuram Finance Limited and organised by the Pegasus Event Production conglomerate.

In the event that aims to highlight the Indian cultural values, Reshma Nambiar (Kochi), Samantha Jose (Trichur), Anu Treesa (Kottayam), Reshma R K Nambiar (Calicut) will represent Kerala while Abhirami V Iyer (Tamil Nadu), Akila Narayan (Tamil Nadu), Bavithra B (Tamil Nadu), Carol Menezes (Karnataka), Demina Rao (Karnataka), Madhuri Jain (Tamil Nadu), Nishitha Shrinath (Karnataka), Pratheeksha Ravi ( Tamil Nadu), Shabnam Ali (Karnataka), Slloka Saincherr (Telangana), Suja Suriya Nila (Tamil Nadu), Sunaina Allamraju (Andhra Pradesh), Shushmitha (Karnataka), Varna Sampath (Karnataka) will represent their respective states.

The event will have three major rounds such as the designer saree round, red cocktail round and black gown round. The contestants will walk the ramp in the grand finale for the music of PEGASUS, composed by DJ Harvey Steve.

Its grooming session, comprising of yoga, meditation, personality development, beauty care, catwalk training, photo shoot and talent search, which is expected to build more confidence and enthusiasm in the participants has begun 21^st January at Beaumonde The Fern, Kochi. The renowned personalities like Valentina Ravi (Mrs India-Asia International), Arun Ratna (Fashion Choreographer), Sudhakshina Thampi (Yoga Trainer), Dr. Asha Biju (Skin Expert), Ganga Mohan (Personality Trainer), Jithesh (Personality Trainer), Dr. Eldho Koshi (Dentist), Dr. Karthik Ram (Chief Plastic Surgeon) lead the session.

The judging panel will be constituted of some exceptional personalities in the film and modeling industry.

The winner and first runner-up of the Miss South India contest will get one lakh rupees and sixty thousand rupees respectively, while the second runner-up will bag forty thousand rupees. The crown offered to the winners is designed by Parakkat Jewellers. Apart from the top three winners, the judges will also select Miss Queen Andhra, Miss Queen Karnataka, Miss Queen Kerala, Miss Queen Telangana, Miss Tamil Nadu, Miss Beautiful Hair, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Beautiful Skin, Miss Beautiful Face, Miss Beautiful Eyes, Miss Congeniality, Miss Personality, Miss Catwalk, Miss Perfect Ten, Miss Talent, Miss Photogenic, Miss Viewer’s Choice, and Miss Social Media.

Ajit Ravi says that for the contestants it is their first step towards the internationally acclaimed beauty contest organised by Pegasus, the Miss Asia. The contestants have been selected following the professional audition session held in Kochi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The tickets to the event are strictly reserved for the invited guests. The attendees are advised to follow the dress code of the event: black costume.
