Tokyo Olympics Men’s Archer: Atanu Das defeats Oh Jin-hyek
Indian player Atanu Das makes a big splash in the men’s archery event. South Korea’s two-time Olympic gold medalist Oh Jin-hyek lost 5-6 to Atanu. With that, Atanu entered the pre-quarters. Hyek won gold in the individual event at the 2012 London Olympics. He was also a member of the Korean team that won gold in the team event this time.

Indian boxer Satish Kumar reached the quarterfinals in the heavyweight (91 kg) category today. In women’s badminton, PV Sindhu advanced to the quarterfinals. In men’s hockey, India reached the quarterfinals with a 3-1 victory over Argentina.
