Teen Dead, Massive Hole In Wall As LED TV Explodes At UP Home

A 16-year-old boy lost his life when an LED TV burst at his home in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Three people were hurt: his mother, sister-in-law, and a friend. According to the authorities, the explosion was so powerful that concrete slabs and a section of the wall fell, creating panic among the neighbours.

Omendra, the teen, had severe shrapnel wounds after being struck by tiny projectiles to the face, chest, and neck, according to the police.

The deceased teen’s neighbour, Vinita, reported hearing a tremendous bang. “I believed a cylinder had blown up. We all rushed outside. We observed smoke emanating from our neighbor’s home, “She spoke.

When the LED TV exploded, Omendra, his mother, sister-in-law, and friend Karan were present.

Omendra was sent to a hospital in a serious state. There, he passed away. Karan and his mother are receiving medical care.

A relative of the deceased teen, Monica, claimed to have been in another room when the explosion occurred. She claimed that the explosion was so strong that it caused the whole home to shake and portions of the wall to collapse.

The incident is being looked into, according to the police.

“Two mothers and two boys were among the injured people. Unfortunately, one of the boys died. Initial investigation shows the LED TV mounted on the wall exploded,” Ghaziabad police officer Gyanendra Singh told reporters.
