TCS, Anthropic Join Hands to Scale Enterprise AI
India’s largest IT services company, TCS, has partnered with Anthropic to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across enterprises. As part of the alliance, TCS will train 50,000 employees on Anthropic’s Claude AI platform and jointly develop AI solutions for highly regulated industries.
The partnership comes amid growing concerns that AI could disrupt the traditional workforce-driven business model of India’s IT sector. Investor worries intensified earlier this year after Anthropic introduced advanced AI agent capabilities, raising questions about the future demand for conventional IT services.
TCS has already indicated a shift toward a workforce model that balances human employees and AI agents. The company recently reduced its workforce and expects hiring to slow, while rival Infosys has also entered into a similar partnership with Anthropic to strengthen its AI offerings.
