Tamil Nadu likely to face serious rainfall on Sunday

The meteorology department has predicted that the Indian state of Tamil Nadu is likely to witness serious rainfall on Sunday. The department has forecasted that a cyclone storm is likely to emerge in the central region of the Bay of Bengal and the formation may move towards the Tamil Nadu coasts. Lesser the distance between the formation and the coast, stronger the rain the state is going to suffer. It is unusual for the state to witness a cyclone in April. But, it is not the first time the state has come in contact with a cyclone in April. In April 1962 and April 1966, the state experienced similar situation.

It is believed that the state is fully prepared to face the issue. From what little has been publicised about the possible cyclone formation in the Bay of Bengal, it can be assumed that there is no reason to get panic.

It is expected that apart from Tamil Nadu some regions in Kerala and Karnataka may also experience rainfall due to this phenomenon, as these two states are situated very close to the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
