Boneless fish pieces -1/2 Kg.
For the marinade
Pepper – 1/2 teaspoon,
turmeric -1/2 teaspoon,
red chilly powder -2 teaspoons,
1 teaspoon vinegar -1 teaspoon
Salt – To Taste
Oil -3 tablespoons,
mustard seeds -1/2 teaspoon
fenugreek -1/2 teaspoon
Chopped onion -1
Garlic ginger paste – 1 tablespoon.
Fish masala -2 tablespoons.
Thick tamarind juice – 2 tablespoons
salt and curry leaves.
Combine all items given in the marinade and apply it over the fish. Set aside for an hour.
Heat some oil in a flat sauce pan and slightly fry the fish pieces on both sides and set aside.
Now in a fresh pan heat 3 tablespoons of oil and add the mustard seeds, and fenugreek. When they splutter add the onion, curry leaves and the ginger garlic paste and saute.
Now add the fish masala stir, add the tamarind juice. salt and just enough water to cook the fish dry.
When this boils add the fish pieces to this. Cook on a slow fire till it is well done and dry.
Serve hot with Lemon and curry leaves.
