Son of actor-turned-MP Roopa Ganguly booked for rash driving
The son of actor-turned-MP Roopa Ganguly who was nominated to the Upper House of the Indian parliament by the BJP has been arrested for rash driving in Kolkata.
As per a media report, his car rammed the wall of a luxury club situated close to his parents’ residence.
The report says that the concerned authority has taken blood samples to check whether he was under the influence of alcohol or any other similar intoxicating substances.
The BJP MP tweets that law should take its own course. In her tweet, she also asserts that she does not need any favour.
Many have appreciated the courageous tweet the actor has made in connection with the incident.
The tweet is a clear message to those who misuse the power bestowed on them by the common people.
Roopa Ganguly is a very popular actress in West Bengal. She is well known for her role as Draupadi in the B R Chopra’s popular television series Mahabharat. She joined the BJP ahead of the last Assembly Election. She was a candidate in that election. Unfortunately, she was defeated in the Howrah North constituency by cricketer Laxmi Ratan Shukla.
