Shaheen Afridi Gets Married To Shahid Afridi’s Daughter In Karachi. See Pics

In a lavish ceremony held in Karachi on Friday, star pacer Shaheen Afridi wed Ansha, the daughter of former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi. Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan’s cricket team, and other players were present to commemorate the event. Interestingly, Shaheen proposed to Ansha last year. Lahore Qalandars of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) posted images from Shaheen’s wedding ceremony on Twitter. In addition to Babar, other notable attendees included Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, and Sarfaraz Khan.”Lahore Qalandars wishes eternal bliss to @iShaheenAfridi,” the photo album was captioned on Twitter.

Lahore Qalandars also shared a video in which Shaheen can be seen saying “Qabool Hai, Qabool Hai” to a preacher officiating his marriage.

Shaheen, who sustained a knee injury during the T20 World Cup final last year, was spotted working out in the nets on the day of his wedding to get back in shape for the PSL 8 tournament.

The 22-year-old recently opened up about his time in rehabilitation, when he was on the verge of giving up cricket but persisted by watching his own old recordings.

“There were times when I wanted to give up. I was working on only one muscle and it was not improving. Often during the rehabilitation sessions, I used to say to myself ‘this is enough, I cannot do this anymore. But then I used to watch my bowling on YouTube and see how well I had done and that motivated me and I told myself ‘to push a little more’ … It is frustrating for a fast bowler to miss cricket because of an injury,” said Shaheen on YouTube.

Shaheen-led Lahore Qalandars will play Multan Sultans on February 13 to begin off the eighth PSL season. Shaheen was instrumental in helping Lahore Qalandars win their first PSL championship last season, contributing both with the ball and the bat.
