ROASTED CASHEW NUTS
INGREDIENTS:
Whole cashew nuts – 1 ½ cup
Oil – 3 teaspoons
Chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon
Salt to taste
Curry leaves – oil fried (optional)
PREPARATION:
Take a bowl and add chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and 2 teaspoon of oil into the bowl. Mix well.
Preheat oven at 200C for 10-15 minutes.
Add cashews in the spicepaste. Mix well.
Take a baking sheet and grease the baking sheet using oil and spread the cashews in a single layer.
Roast it in the oven for 5-7 minutes. Take the tray out, mix well to turn the sides.
Return to the oven and roast another side for 5-7 minutes. Roast it until it turns golden brown.
Remove the tray from the oven and allow it to cool completely and they will be very crispy.
Before serving add fried curry leaves on it. Mix well. It makes more flavourful.
