RCPL Acquires Majority Stake in Australia’s Goodness Group, Enters Global Health Beverage Market
Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Australia-based Goodness Group Global Pty. Ltd. (GGG), marking its entry into the Australian consumer goods market and strengthening its footprint in the global health beverages segment. The deal adds popular “better-for-you” drink brands to RCPL’s portfolio and supports the company’s ambition to evolve into a globally recognised FMCG player from India. RCPL Director T Krishnakumar described the partnership as a bold step toward expanding the company’s international presence and enhancing its health-focused beverage offerings across markets, including India.
Founded in Sydney, Goodness Group is known for its health-oriented beverage range, including zero-calorie, plant-based drinks, protein beverages, healthy liquid breakfasts, and a hydration drink co-created with Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins. Welcoming the partnership, Goodness Group founder Troy Douglas said RCPL’s strong supply chain and distribution capabilities make it an ideal partner for global growth. He noted that the company aims to expand into as many as 50 Western markets over the next five years with RCPL’s support.
The acquisition aligns with RCPL’s strategy to scale its health and wellness beverage portfolio alongside its existing drink brands and zero-sugar offerings. It also continues the company’s broader international expansion drive, following its presence in markets such as the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Through this move, RCPL reinforces its commitment to delivering global-quality products at affordable prices while building a diversified, future-ready beverage portfolio.
