Barack Obama, the US President has announced a Clean power Plan which would be considered as the biggest, most important step in coping up with the climate change. The aim of this power is to cut the greenhouse gas emissions from the US power station by nearly a third within the 15 years, i.e. by 32% within 2030. It is reported that this measure will place a significant emphasis on the wind and solar power and other renewable energy sources. To this plan the opponents in the energy industry have stated that they will fight back. Mr. Obama has declared that the opponents have decided to take a war on the coal. It is found out that the power plants fired by coal are reported to produce more than a third of the US electricity supply. Mr. Obama sees this plan as the cornerstone in securing the global treaty on the climate change in Paris at the end of the year.
