Nupur Sharma Receives Relief From The Supreme Court: “Need To Protect Her Life, Liberty”

The Supreme Court ruled today that arrests in the nine cases against suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma for her remarks about Prophet Muhammad are not permitted. She requested that several FIRs against her be combined into one, and the court urged other states to respond. On August 10, the Supreme Court will consider Nupur Sharma’s motion; no new cases may be brought before that day.

The states of Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, West Bengal, Karnataka, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Telengana have been requested to comment on her case.

The Supreme Court was informed by Nupur Sharma’s attorney that following the court’s harsh ruling on July 1, she has come under increased threats to her life.

“Her safety is under ever-greater jeopardy. There was no security that could save her. Whatever occurred in the Supreme Court the previous time might have occurred. But the threat is now actual and genuine. There is a FIR against her in Bengal as well “Maninder Singh, Nupur Sharma’s attorney, claimed.

She contended that following the July 1 ruling, there had been incidents such as an employee of the Ajmer Dargah threatening to slice her throat on camera and another resident of the UP insulting her and threatening to behead her.

The Supreme Court had stated during the hearing on July 1 that Nupur Sharma should apologise to the nation for inciting unrest with her remarks.

“the manner in which she sparked feelings across the nation. The state of the nation is entirely attributable to this woman “Judges had stated.

“She truly speaks with a loose tongue and has made a variety of reckless claims on television, setting the entire nation on fire. She nonetheless asserts to have 10 years of legal experience. She had to have quickly expressed regret to the entire nation for her remarks “according to the Supreme Court.
