New Facebook features users to protect users from bullying, harassment
Facebook on Tuesday revealed a new feature for over 2.3 billion users to delete or hide multiple comments at once from the new options menu of their post. Facebook Involved in a massive data breach and facing $1.63 billion in fine from the Europen Union privacy watchdog.
The new feature is updated is presently available on desktop and Android users and soon iOS will also have the access. The new feature also let other users report on behalf of the user who is being bullied or harassed through the menu above the post individually.
“We are also testing ways to more easily search for and block offensive words from appearing in comments,” stated Antigone Davis, Global Head of Safest at Facebook
Facebook community operations team will review posts, keep the report anonymous and check whether it violates its community standards. The users will also be able to appeal decisions on cases involving offensive words.
“We have now extended these reviews to bullying and harassment violations – this means that if your content has been taken down for bullying or harassment, you will have the opportunity to request another review,” said Facebook
