Everybody loves to enjoy the summer sun at the park and beaches with family and friends. Despite of all the happiness and fun spent under the sun, at the end most of us are left with ugly and unattractive sun tan on the face and hands. Tan usually occurs on body parts that are exposed to sun such as neck, hands, face, arms and legs. Due to the lack of time, we tend to opt for quick and easy remedies like a session of bleach or use a chemical cosmetic product for instant tan removal. After applying only we come to know about the side effects they cause on our delicate skin. Therefore, it is very important to choose the products carefully that we apply.

Natural remedies help to remove the tan by soothing and nourishing the skin in a gentle caring way. Preparing a solution or a paste by mixing baking soda with water and using it as a scrub will help in removing the tan from hands or any affected area. In order to get a quick result, it is recommended to do this procedure every alternate day. Another way to get rid of tan is by the use of vinegar and water. Take equal quantity of both in a bowl and mix it well. Then dip the hands into the bowl and let it rest in the solution for five to ten minutes. Once this is done wash off your hands with cold water. This can be done daily for better results.

Cucumber juice, turmeric powder and lemon juice pack is one of the best remedies used to get rid of sun tan. Cucumber is also one of the best remedy for cooling the skin. Lemon juice is a rich source of vitamin C and citric acid both of which help in lightening skin tone and is the natural solution to maintain skin. Mix one tablespoon of turmeric powder, cucumber juice and lemon juice. Apply this paste on the tanned area and leave for 20 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. For better results it is recommended to do it regularly. Another easy way is to soak a cotton pad or cloth in lime juice and rub it on the tanned area. Massage it for a minute or two and then leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Once it is completely dried then wash the hands with cold water.

Another best remedy for this is coconut oil. This will nourish the skin and remove the tan. While applying coconut oil massage the gently on the affected area daily in order to remove the tan. Oatmeal can also be used as a natural scrub which helps in removing blackheads and dead cells and buttermilk helps in soothing skin and healing blisters. Make a paste with two tablespoon of oatmeal and three tablespoons of buttermilk and apply it on the face and tanned area. While applying massage it gently in a circular motion and after 15 minutes cleans it with water.
