MTC workers conducts flash strike in Tamil Nadu

The Metropolitan Transport Corporation workers have conducted flash strike in Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, demanding the full-payment of their salary. The strike has badly affected the normal life of common people. The strike has left many people stranded in the bus stations in the city.

The strike has been organised by the conductors and drivers belong to the labour unions of the opposition political parties.

A senior official has rejected the allegation that the full-payment has been denied to the workers work under the MTC. He has termed such information as fake.

The concerned ministry has also responded in the same manner. As per a report, the ministry’s aim is the reach a settlement with the opposition labour unions within today evening.

The union leaders may be asked to convince their workers that they will get the full-payment of their salary.
