Maruti Suzuki Rolls Out 22.55 Lakh Vehicles in Record-Breaking 2025
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd achieved its highest-ever annual production in 2025, rolling out over 22.55 lakh vehicles, marking the second consecutive year the company crossed the 20 lakh milestone. The top contributors to this record were the Fronx, Baleno, Swift, Dzire, and Ertiga. The production spanned domestic sales, exports, and OEM supplies, reflecting the strength of India’s automotive manufacturing capabilities.
The automaker, currently producing 17 models across more than 650 variants, plans to raise its manufacturing capacity to 4 million units annually to meet growing demand in India and abroad. Maruti Suzuki operates plants in Gurugram, Manesar, Kharkhoda, and recently integrated the Gujarat facility. Its success is attributed to strong employee dedication, supplier collaboration, and a high degree of localization while maintaining global quality standards.
In 2025, Maruti Suzuki recorded total wholesales of 2,351,139 units, including a record 395,648 exports to over 100 countries, making it India’s leading passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth year running. The year also saw the launch of Suzuki’s first battery electric vehicle, the eVitara, supported by 2,000 dedicated EV charging points. Domestic sales peaked in December with 182,165 units, aided by a GST rate cut that boosted mini car sales, especially the Alto and S-Presso, which jumped 92% year-on-year.
