Manish Sisodia Claims Message From BJP: “Will Shut All Cases If..”

Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia said today that the BJP had offered to “close all cases” against him if he left the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and switched parties. Sisodia was accused by the CBI for allegations related to a liquor policy. BJP lawmaker Manoj Tiwari denied the accusation, saying the AAP man is making up stories because he has been implicated in corruption. Every morning when we awake, we keep wondering what new tales they will concoct.

“I have received a message from the BJP — break AAP and join BJP. We will ensure that all cases by CBI and ED against you are shut,” Manish Sisodia tweeted two days after the CBI raided him and named him in a chargesheet on the alleged liquor policy case.

He emphasised that all allegations against him are untrue and urged the BJP to take “whatever action you see fit.”

“My response to the BJP is that I am a Rajput and a descendent of Maharana Pratap. I’m willing to be executed, but I can never submit to spies and dishonest people. Every accusation made against me is untrue. Make whichever decisions you wish to, “He stated in a Hindi tweet.

Slamming Manoj Tiwari told Mr. Sisodia that it was dishonourable for him to be equating himself with Maharana Pratap.

Supporting the accusation, AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj stated that there are “three dozen incidents” of the BJP pressing opposition party leaders with probes before dropping cases once they switched sides.

The senior AAP leader was recently the target of a CBI raid in connection with allegations of irregularities and corruption in Delhi’s alcohol policy, which was initially implemented this year and later reversed.

The Delhi Excise Policy 2021–22, Mr. Sisodia asserted last week, was the “best” of its kind and would have generated 10,000 crore annually but for a last-minute decision-change by former Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. Mr. Sisodia’s stance appeared unabated.

At least two payments totaling crores of rupees that a liquor seller is claimed to have made to Mr. Sisodia’s “close allies” are being looked into by the CBI.

In the FIR, it was claimed that Mr. Sisodia’s “close associates” had “actively participated in managing and directing the undue monetary advantage obtained from liquor licensees” to the defendants who were public employees.
