L’Oréal to Invest $383 Million in AI-Driven Beauty Tech Hub in Hyderabad
French cosmetics major L’Oréal announced it will invest more than 35 billion rupees ($383 million) to establish a beauty technology hub in Hyderabad, southern India. The company said the facility will serve as a global center for artificial intelligence–driven beauty innovation and accelerate the development and deployment of advanced digital beauty solutions.
According to L’Oréal, the hub is expected to create around 2,000 technology jobs by 2030 and strengthen its global capabilities in AI, data science, and beauty tech. Chief Executive Nicolas Hieronimus formalized the partnership with the Telangana state government during the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos.
The investment highlights Telangana’s growing status as a major technology and investment destination in India. It also reflects strengthening economic ties between India and France, whose bilateral trade reached $15 billion in 2024, as both countries continue discussions to modernize their tax treaty in line with global transparency standards.
