Kerala Killings: Cannibalism Suspected, 1 Body Was Cut Into 56 Pieces
The police said today as horrifying new facts in the case surfaced. A couple in Kerala is accused of killing and mutilating two women in a ritualistic “human sacrifice” to get quick money.
According to the authorities, victims Roselin and Padma were tortured before being strangled while they were tied up. The breasts of the women were severed, and the blood was allowed to drain. According to the police head, one of the bodies was divided into 56 parts. Three pits yielded the bodily parts.
Muhammad Shafi is the primary suspect; he is referred to as a “sexual pervert” and a sadist who is accused of luring the women to the home of Bhagaval Singh and his wife Laila. Shafi was out on bail in a 2020 case involving a sexual assault on a 75-year-old woman.
According to reports, Shafi paid the victims money to appear in a pornographic movie. The police claimed that at the same time, he “recommended” Bhagaval Singh and Laila to perform a human sacrifice in order to solve their money problems and become affluent.

As a result of their inquiries, the police were able to locate the Pathanamthitta home where Bhagaval Singh and his wife allegedly confessed.
Shafi allegedly searched for persons experiencing financial troubles on Facebook using his wife’s account. He allegedly met Bhagaval Singh and his wife there, who he later discovered were interested in human sacrifice, according to the authorities.
Additionally, the police commissioner brought forward claims that Shafi had tried to rape an elderly woman. He claimed that she had identical wounds.
