It is recommended to give the covid vaccine to children above 5 years of age

It is recommended to give the covid vaccine to children between the age of five and twelve in the country. The National Technical Advisory Group (NTAGI) forwarded the recommendation to the government. The National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization recommends giving Biologics Ltd’s CorbiVax to children aged 5 to 12 years.

However, NTAGI also clarified that Bharat Biotech’s Covaccine can be administered to children between the ages of 6 and 12 years. The National Technical Advisory Group has stated that it is convinced that the vaccines are effective in both categories.

Meanwhile, the official explanation of NTAGI is that the inclusion of these two vaccines in the national immunization plan will be decided in the next meeting. Cobivax is currently given to children between the ages of 12 and 14.
