Islamic State preparing to defend Ramadi
According to the report of the witnesses, the Islamic State militants are preparing to defend the Iraqi city of Ramadi. The residents of the state have reported that the Islamic State fighters have placed traps of defensive positions and have also laid landmines after capturing the city. A humanitarian crisis is said to have evolved in the state by now and about thousands of migrants have fled the city. The UN is looking forward to help those migrants by providing their needs of requirements. Losing Ramadi is considered to be a very bad blow for both the Iraqi government as well as for the US strategy whereas retaking it would be considered as a massive challenge for the Iraqi government in which it will have to appeal to the Shia militias. It has been reported by few witnesses that militants were breaking into the homes of policemen and pro-government tribesmen.
