iPhone 14 to be made in India in next 2-3 months

The fastest-ever domestic production start in the nation will be made by the iPhone 14, one of the four models Apple unveiled on Wednesday, in India starting next quarter. It expects the made-in-India units to be commercially available by December. They will be made at the Foxconn facility close to Chennai, according to two top business leaders.

Analysts and business leaders predict that Apple will send the most iPhones to India ever in the December quarter, at roughly 570,000 units, up from 370,000 units in the previous quarter.

Since its release, Apple has gradually shortened the new iPhone model’s production delay in India. For its most recent flagship model, the iPhone 13, it moved from 10 to 12 months to six months. Even though testing runs are set to begin early next month, the launch this year will take place in two to three months.

This is a part of the business’s aim to establish new global production hubs and reduce its reliance on China, where production has been hindered numerous times since the outbreak as a result of local lockdowns imposed by the nation’s zero-Covid policy. However, China will provide the initial supply for the iPhone 14 series in both India and other countries.
