Instagram Reels to Start Showing Ads in India Soon
The Facebook-owned Instagram has started testing advertisements on its 30-second long video format Reels in selected few countries, including India.
Though ads could be seen in almost all other features of Instagram, the TikTok-like feature of the app had been bereft of advertisements. The upcoming ads on the Reels would look much like the ones seen on Instagram Stories in a video format. Facebook is also experimenting with a new ad format for Stories, like sticker ads.
This is mainly meant for the influencers, the ads will allow creators to monetize their Facebook stories with ads that look like stickers and receive a portion of the resulting revenue.
