“Hungama” Actor Rimi Sen Cheated Of Over ₹ 4 Crore, Businessman Charged
On Wednesday, Mumbai Police filed an FIR against a Goregaon-based businessman for allegedly defrauding Bollywood actor Rimi Sen of Rs. 4.14 crore.
The case has been filed at Mumbai’s Khar Police Station. Raunak Jatin Vyas, a Goregaon-based businessman, allegedly cheated on Ms Sen in the name of investment, according to Ms. Sen’s complaint.
The actor told police that she met Vyas three years ago at a gym in Andheri and that they became friends. Vyas, who claimed to be a businessman, offered Ms. Sen a lucrative investment in his new venture. Following the investment, the actress realised she had been duped, and Vyas decided not to start a new business. Vyas has been charged under sections 420 and 409 of the Indian Penal Code. The hunt for the accused has begun.
Rimi Sen has appeared in films in Hindi, Bengali, and Telegu. Dhoom, Garam Masala, Phir Hera Pheri, Kyun Ki, Golmaal, Baghban, and Hungama are among her films. In 2015, she also appeared on the reality TV show ‘Big Boss.’
