Ahead of the much anticipated vote which is to take place this week, the Hong Kong’s government is ready to present a political reform package. This package is set to explain how Hong Kong will choose its next leader in 2017. It is expected that ahead of this announcement thousands of police will deployed for this. For the first time the citizens there will be given the right to vote for the chief executive where the candidates will be examined by a pro-Beijing committee. This rule sparked a large scale protest in the city demanding a better way for democracy. The new package is expected to be introduced by the government at 11:00 local time on Wednesday. The lawmakers are looking forward to vote against the reforms instead of getting advises from the Chinese government of what not to do. China had warned against radical forces in Hong Kong where 10 people had been arrested on suspicion of making explosives. Out of this one suspect claimed that he was a member of a radical local group but wouldn’t name the group or specify the motive behind the operation.
