Fan Asks Shahid Afridi About Virat Kohli Not Scoring Century, His Reply Is Pure Gold

Shahid Afridi, a former captain of Pakistan and all-rounder, recently engaged with his followers on Twitter. They receive a lot of inquiries regarding Indian cricket and cricketers, just like Pakistani players do. Afridi was asked by a fan what he thought about Virat Kohli going more than a thousand days without getting an international century.

Afridi is notorious for making derogatory comments about Indian players, but his answer to this question was spot-on. Afridi replied, “Bare players ka mushkil waqt me hi pata chalta hai.” It means “the genuine mettle of major players can be seen when they are in a bad circumstance” when translated into English.

In the day-and-night Test against Bangladesh in Kolkata in 2019, Virat Kohli scored his most recent century on the international stage. He has since achieved a number of half-centuries, but he hasn’t managed to get to the three digit level.

But more than his lack of centuries, India’s concern heading into the Asia Cup would be his lack of runs this year across all formats.
