Hijab ban on students at Mangalore University, students barred, classes boycotted
At the University of Mangalore, a group of students again blocked a hijab-wearing student. Thirteen students entered the class wearing hijab. However, the teachers stopped the students citing the High Court order.
The students approached the district education office but officials said the hijab could not be allowed. Authorities opposed the protest with all available police forces, special services and the army. ”
