HCLTech Opens Advanced Semiconductor Lab in Bengaluru
HCLTech has invested ₹185 crore to launch an Advanced Semiconductor Lab in Bengaluru, strengthening its capabilities in chip testing, validation and failure analysis. The 40,000 sq. ft. facility includes 25,000 sq. ft. of Class 10K and Class 1K cleanrooms and will serve both Indian and international semiconductor customers.
Equipped with advanced testing and measurement systems from companies such as Teradyne, Advantest, Keysight, Tektronix and Thermo Fisher Scientific, the lab will support semiconductor R&D, pre-production and production qualification. HCLTech said integrating these capabilities could help reduce testing turnaround times for customers.
The facility also supports HCLTech’s Spec2Parts model, bringing electrical validation, automated testing, qualification and failure analysis under one platform. With global certifications planned and capabilities including microscopy and focused ion beam systems, the Bengaluru lab is aimed at strengthening India’s semiconductor engineering ecosystem and HCLTech’s global offering.
