Govt convenes all-party meeting to discuss ‘Pulwama terror attack’
An all-party meeting has been convened by the central government today to discuss the ‘Pulwama terror attack’, in which at least 38 CRPF personals were killed by a suicide bomber who rammed the convey of nearly 78 CRPF vehicles with a SUV filled with the highly explosive material of RDX.
Almost all major political parties have participated in the all-party meeting, including the Congress, NCP, National Conference, RJD, TMC, LJP, RLSP, CPI, AIADMK, TRS and the Shiv Sena.
Earlier, the grand old party, as well as most other opposition parties, asserted that they were with the army and government in this matter.
Emboldened by the unconditional support extended the opposition parties, the government is said to have granted complete freedom to the army to give befitting replay to the sufferings they suffered.
It was when the government executed the tactical move of surgical strike that the government last convened an all-party meeting to discuss the issue of national security.
It that sense, the present all-party meeting is of great importance. The meeting is an indication that the army is planning something big.
The nation can never forgive those who killed our men and those who helped to perform that brutal act.
India has already received the support of most great powers, including the US, Russia and the West. Even Israel has come forward to support the country.
