Girl’s suicide in Kallakurichi; Relatives do not receive the dead body

Relatives of Plus Two student who committed suicide in Tamil Nadu’s Kallakurichi did not receive the body. After re-postmortem, the dead body has been kept in the general hospital mortuary. The CBCID investigating the child’s death and the Special Investigation Team probing the planned violence during the protests are continuing to gather evidence.

Even after 24 hours after the re-postmortem of the girl, the relatives have not come to receive the body. Since yesterday there are no relatives at the house in Koodallur Periyanasallur. Their phones are also switched off. In case the relatives did not come, the re-postmortem was conducted yesterday as per the special instructions of the High Court. The police is currently unable to comply with the High Court’s directive to cremate the body as soon as possible after the post-mortem. The CBCID officials have pasted a notice on the door of the closed house stating that the post-mortem process of the child has been completed and the body should be accepted.

Meanwhile, the CBCID conducted evidence collection using a dummy from the top of the school hostel where the girl jumped down and took her life. It is reported that the injuries on the child’s body are similar to the damage done to the dummy. Forensic and handwriting tests of the suicide note were also conducted. A special investigation team investigating the planned attack during the protest also reached the school and took evidence. Prohibitory order continues in Kallakurichi where there is a possibility of conflict.

Last week, a plus two student of Shakthi Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chinnasalem, Tamil Nadu’s Kallakurichi district, committed suicide by jumping from the top of the hostel building. The suicide note of the student stating that she committed suicide due to mental torture by the teachers had come out earlier. In the suicide note of the child, it is said that the chemistry and maths teachers put him in a lot of mental stress. The note is in Tamil written in English script. The teachers tell everyone that he is an uneducated child. Equations in chemistry are not memorized. Everyone is kidding. The maths teacher used to fight not only with him but also with other children. The child has written. The suicide note also says that the school fees should be returned to his mother.
