Game of Thrones sequel ‘The Winds of Winter’ to be delayed again
The winter won’t be coming anytime soon. In a blog post, popular author George R R Martin revealed that the 6th book in the song of ice and fire series ‘The Winds of Winter’ will be delayed again.
He wrote, “THE WINDS OF WINTER is not finished. Believe me, it gave me no pleasure to type those words. You’re disappointed, and you’re not alone. My editors and publishers are disappointed, HBO is disappointed, my agents and foreign publishers and translators are disappointed… but no one could possibly be more disappointed than me.”
The book was first scheduled to be released on Halloween, 2015. Later the news reported that the book’s release is delayed to December 31st 2015. George R R Martin couldn’t meet the deadline, disappointing many fans around the world. Martin added that he wanted to finish the book before the 6th season of he show. He added, ” Will the show ‘spoil’ the novels? Maybe. Yes and no. Look, I never thought the series could possibly catch up with the books, but it has. The show moved faster than I anticipated and I moved more slowly.”
The winds of winter is a much anticipated book from the song of ice and fire series. Game of thrones season 6 is set to premiere on April 2016.
