Extreme heat at the event, no AC, large crowd, controversy over KK’s death
The body of Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, a Bollywood singer and Malayalee, will be buried in Mumbai. After the post-mortem, the body was taken from Kolkata to Mumbai.
There will be a public viewing at 9am after arriving at the residence in Versova, Mumbai. Funeral services are scheduled for tomorrow morning. Burial will be at 9 a.m. at the Muktidan Cemetery, Mumbai.
KK’s wife Jyothikrishna and two children Nakul and Tamara arrived in Kolkata. His wife and children were in Delhi. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and others were present at the function held at Rabindra Sadan. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has paid homage to KK’s body. The scenes of his wife Jyothikrishna walking towards KK’s body while crying shattered the minds of people. Kolkata bids farewell to the country’s greatest singer of all time with official honors.
KK arrived at the hotel where he was staying after performing at the Nasrul Manja Auditorium in Kolkata till 8.30 pm. KK, who was exhausted by 10.30 pm, was in a coma. KK was immediately rushed to CMRI Hospital but could not save his life. He died on the way to the hospital.
Kolkata police have registered a case of unnatural death in KK’s death. Meanwhile, the BJP has also come out against the Bengal government over the mystery of the death.
