Delhi scores a major victory as the court rules that private schools cannot refuse admission to EWS students
Private schools in Delhi would no longer be able to arbitrarily refuse admission to kids in the EWS category. The Delhi High Court made a ruling in the case in favour of the Delhi government on Friday.
According to the court, all students on the list given for EWS admission following the Directorate of Education’s random drawing must be admitted. Schools that don’t follow the rules will be subject to strict punishment.
