Deepak Chahar of CSK has been ruled out of IPL 2022, while DC physio Patrick Farhart tests positive for Covid-19

Deepak Chahar of CSK has been ruled out of the IPL 2022 due to a back injury. The management of the Chennai Super Kings has been dealt a major blow, as their main bowler will not play in the 15th edition of the IPL. At the IPL mega auction, Deepak Chahar was bought back by his old franchise for a staggering Rs 14 crore.

After failing to complete his spell in the third T20 against West Indies in February, the bowling all-rounder suffered a quadriceps injury and had to walk off the field. Chahar, who can also play the big shots, was instrumental in CSK’s success last season.

For the remainder of the IPL 2022 season, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have signed fast bowler Harshit Rana as a replacement for pacer Rasikh Salam.

Salam, who has only played two games for KKR this season, has been ruled out of the tournament due to a lower back injury. Harshit Rana, a Delhi-based player, will replace him at KKR for INR 20 lakh.

Patrick Farhart, a physio for the Delhi Capitals, has tested positive for COVID-19. The DC Medical Team is currently keeping a close eye on him.
