Congress President Election schedule released
Putting an end to the uncertainty around the congress internal election, the party has finally announced its President Election schedule.
The crucial decision has been taken in a meeting organised by the Congress Working Committee at the Congress President’s residence in Delhi.
In the CWC meeting chaired by Congress President Sonia Gandhi, the senior leaders like Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former Defence Minister A K Antony and senior leader Mallikarjun Kharge have participated.
The schedule of the president election has been officially announced by the Communication In-Charge of All India Congress Committee, Randeep Surjewala.
As per the report, the election notification will be released on December 10; the nomination will be accepted from fourth of that month onwards; the voting will take place on December 16; the winner will be announced on December 19.
The party workers have expressed happiness in the announcement of the election schedule. As per the report, crackers have gone off in the party headquarters in Delhi. Similar celebrations are taking place in different parts of the country, according to the latest report.
Anyway, Rahul Gandhi will be the only nominee for the top post. There is no doubt that the Congress scion will be inducted in the top post as soon as the election result is declared.
